Wet-bulb: Stull (2011), a near sea-level approximation. Alpine pressure effects and very cold, dry conditions limit accuracy. Potential hours use a −2°C threshold; equipment, water and operating decisions remain unknown. Snow balance uses wet-bulb precipitation partition and a configurable degree-day melt factor. Before your ski day

Does Hafjell include Kvitfjell and Oppdal?

No. Alpinco offers passes covering all three, but they are separate ski destinations. Hafjell’s weather, piste length and reports on this page are not combined with Kvitfjell or Oppdal.[1][2]

Where are Hafjell’s beginner and family areas?

Knerten is at the valley base, Gondoltoppen has several family activities near Favn, and Gaia is by Gaiastova on the upper mountain. Check the official map and operating report when planning how to reach and return from your chosen area.[4][3]

Where can I check Hafjell’s open lifts and snow depth?

Use Alpinco’s official Hafjell report, linked here, for its published lift list and snow information. Its data comes from Fnugg. Fnugg can attribute the latest update to yr.no; that weather refresh does not establish a new observation time for every lift or snow-depth value. PisteWindow does not yet show verified current counts for Hafjell.[3][6]

Is the 1,000 m forecast the summit forecast?

It is an upper-mountain sample, not an exact summit forecast. The operator lists the ski-area top at 1,050 m. Read it alongside the 200 and 600 m samples to understand the forecast across the large change in elevation.[2]
